Quebec Is For Metallica Fans

Metallica will give Quebec City some extra love come September when the legendary metal band plays two completely different shows using two different staging configurations in two separate venues.  If you’re a Metallica fan, you’re going to Quebec.  It’s what you do.

The two-night Quebec stop has Metallica honoring an old arena while inaugurating a new one.  Metallica will rock the Colisee Pepsi Sept. 14 and will become the first international act to play the Videotron Centre Sept. 16.

Metallica plans to use a regular arena configuration for the Colisee gig with the stage planted firmly on one end of the building. But the Videotron concert will be a different story with Metallica performing on a 360-degree in-the-round stage. Expect Metallica to perform a different setlist each night.

“We are very proud to be able to bring this major international act to Quebec City, particularly since there was strong local sentiment in favor of having Metallica inaugurate the new arena and the band itself expressed interest in doing the honours,” said Quebecor president/CEO Benoit Robert.  “Metallica concerts in Quebec City have always been phenomenal events.  We are very pleased to have signed them for this occasion and to be able to put their stamp on the history of the Colisee Pepsi and the Videotron Centre.”

Tickets go on sale April 24 at 12 p.m. EDT.  Click here and here for more information.
