Madonna Still A Rebel

Hong Kong’s public transportation authority has ordered all advertising posters for Madonna‘s new album, “Rebel Heart,” to include warning labels, otherwise they won’t be approved for display in the city’s train stations.

The image on one of the two proposed posters replicates the album cover showing Madonna’s face bound with black leather twine. Authorities are afraid that children may copy the image and risk being strangled, according to the South China Morning Post.

Another poster showing the pop diva wearing a red top over a one-piece leopard-patterned swimsuit was approved without any changes.

Originally, the advertising company hired by Universal Music Hong Kong told the record company that a third party charged with negotiating with the authority couldn’t get permission to display the former poster at all, but UMHK was insistent.

Eventually, the authority relented as long as the poster included a label saying, “This is just an art photo. Please do not imitate.”
