Protesters Threaten To Rally Outside Cosby Show In Boston
Bill Cosby could face a hostile audience inside and outside the Boston theater where he’s scheduled to perform stand-up on Sunday.
Demonstrators threatened to rally outside the Wilbur Theater to protest Cosby’s show. The 77-year-old entertainer faces sexual assault accusations from at least 15 women, with some of the claims dating back decades. He denies the allegations and has never been charged with a crime.
Some of the embattled comedian’s performances elsewhere have drawn heckling and protests, and some have been canceled.
Several Boston-area women’s groups said they planned to gather outside the theater, and called for the cancellation of Cosby’s two Sunday shows.
Theater owner Bill Blumenreich told the Boston Herald he tightened security inside and outside the venue as a precaution.
