Chou Makeup Date Nearly Rained Out
Apparently fans sitting in the west end of the venue were subjected to precipitation as heavy rains fell outside.
Though the stadium’s retractable roof was not retracted, it doesn’t completely cover one section of the stands. Water also ran along the inside of the roof and was deposited on other sections.
According to Channel NewsAsia, those affected complained strongly to the stadium’s management, SportsHub Private Ltd. In a way, it was a double disappointment, as the concert was a makeup date for the original show set for Nov. 8 that was postponed due to regulations surrounding the ASEAN Football Federation Suzuki Cup.
Added to these two matters, a significant number of concertgoers also complained about poor sound, ticketing arrangements and insufficient parking at the 55,000-seat venue.
One patron complained on SportsHub’s Facebook page that the floors inside the stadium “were flooded.” Many said they would probably never attend another concert at the stadium. In response, the company said it tried to assess the situation and respond accordingly at the time by “issu[ing] ponchos and relocat[ing] affected patrons.” However, neither SportsHub nor promoter Multimedia Entertainment said they would compensate inconvenienced concertgoers.
