Michael Franti Has More Heart & Soul

Franti’s bare-bones acoustic adventure, which is currently playing various California towns, features the artist accompanied by Spearhead bassist Carl Young and guitarist Jay Bowman.

Fans on the East Coast can now look forward to February when Franti launches the next leg of the tour in Tarrytown, N.Y.

 What’s on the setlist?  Expect new material along with songs from 2013’s All People and other selections.

But don’t expect the acoustic shows to be low-key evenings.

“When I play acoustically it’s still an energetic dance affair,” Franti said. “We are going to wrap up each night with Jay and I DJ’ing after the acoustic show, so bring your dancing shoes … or your bare feet!”
