Rick ‘The Bass Player’ Rosas Dies

Rick Rosas, longtime bassist for Neil Young, has died of unknown causes at 65.

Simply known as “Rick The Bass Player,” Rosas was one of the most sought-after studio musicians in Los Angeles, collaborating with Young on six albums between 1988 and 2009.

He performed with Crosby, Still, Nash & Young, Joe Walsh, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ron Wood, Etta James and was in the touring band on the Buffalo Springfield reunion. He also joined Crazy Horse this year after bassist Billy Talbot suffered a stroke.
