Festival Changes
In its third year, Deni Blues & Roots Festival becomes Big Sky Blues & Roots. The change is to give the event “a unique identity that more accurately reflects the spirit and location of a festival taking place on the expansive, striking landscape, under the big sky of the Riverina Plains,” say Michael Chugg and Rob Potts. Announced for the April 4-5 event are Michael Franti, Zac Brown Band, Mavis Staples, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, and Australia’s Harry Hookey, Dallas Frasca, Dale Winters and Benny Walker.
