Lucky 13 For Hazot
The festival on the national park at Saint-Cloud, just outside Paris and about 20 minutes from the world-famous horseracing track, had 120,000 visitors, beating last year’s record 113,000.
“Previously we have sold out a day and even two days, but this is the first time we have sold out all three,” Hazot told Pollstar. The festival started with a 25,000-per-day capacity, which has steadily increased to 40,000. Hazot feels this year’s sellout had something to do with the weather.
“It had rained every day since July 25, but it stopped three days before the festival,” he explained. “It rained for about 45 minutes on the first day, for 15 minutes on the second, but there was no rain on the final day.”
He was also pleased it was a trouble-free festival, running smoothly throughout the three days. The acts helping to make it 13th time lucky for Hazot included Arctic Monkeys, Queens Of The Stone Age, The Prodigy, Lana Del Rey, and Flume.
