Fullsteam Promotes Aho
Before joining Juha Kyyrö’s award-winning firm in 2008, Aho was festival coordinator at the country’s Ruisrock and Ankkarock festivals.
Kyyrö, Fullsteam’s founder and main owner, will continue as chairman of the Helsinki-based group, which deals with event planning and concert promotion, as well as having a booking agency, artist management company, and record and publishing companies.
It took five gongs at Finland’s Industry Awards Gala Oct. 19, part of the country’s annual Music & Media showcase conference.
The other change is that current company chairman and minority stakeholder Johannes Kinnunen will focus on administrative management and public relations.
“Fullsteam has an amazing staff with an enormous amount of expertise, which makes this appointment a great honour,” was Aho’s take on her new role. Kyyrö says “Heidi has had an important role in Fullsteam becoming the best promoter in Finland” and he especially appreciates her strong leadership skills.
Fullsteam now claims to be the largest promoter of foreign artists in Finland in terms of total concerts. In 2013 the company presented altogether more than 1,100 concerts.
In the same year, parent company Fullsteam Records Oy made 8.7 million euros in revenue in 2013. The Fullsteam corporation currently employs 23 people.
