Celine Dion enters LIVE75 as the HOT SHOT artist, ranked fifth based on sales from her “Courage Tour” booked worldwide through next September. The Canadian chanteuse appears on the chart with a sold ticket average of 13,305 from six sold-out performances at three North American venues during the tour’s opening leg. Among them is Montreal’s Bell Centre, which drew more than 50,000 fans during a run of four shows in November – originally booked as one of the tour’s early stops, but postponed due to illness.
Pop star Ariana Grande and English rocker Liam Gallagher join Dion with Top 10 debuts, the former at No. 6 with four sellouts on the final leg of her “Sweetener Tour.” Gallagher follows at No. 7 with three U.K. dates on the current trek in support of his latest release, Why Me? Why Not.
For the second week in a row U2 owns the No. 1 ranking based on stadium-sized grosses from New Zealand and Australia on “The Joshua Tree” tour. The band also returns as the HEAVY HITTER on the chart with the largest gross average – $4,824,827. With a sold-ticket average of 43,789 from sellouts in Auckland, Brisbane and Melbourne, the rockers retain the top position.
Dido is the NOISEMAKER of the week at No. 26 with a leap of 25 positions after appearing at No. 51 on the last chart.
The English artist scores the ranking based on sales from four Latin American shows on her current “Still On My Mind Tour” behind a new album. It marks her first major tour since supporting Life For Rent, released in 2003.
