Creamfields Invests $2.5 Million Into Site Improvements
When U.K. electronic music festival Creamfields celebrates its 15th anniversary next year, Aug. 27-30, a number of key areas will have received significant investments.
Live Nation subsidiary Cream, the promoters of Creamfields, is investing a total of £2 million ($2.5 million), which will go towards improvements to security and staffing, car park CCTV including 24-hour manned patrols, installation of a new water supply and ring main system, more water points located across the site, better signage throughout, improved shower and toilet facilities, more cleaning staff and supervisors, increased visibility of welfare staff across the event arena and campsites, new and improved 24-hour manned Info Hubs in each campsite, and more.

The team, led by managing director Scott Barton, also intend to build on customer incentives to recycle and minimise environmental impact on site, as well as review and invest into increasing the camping space available on site. A Cream statement reads, “these changes and improvements are just the beginning of what marks a new era for the festival and Cream HQ will be updating fans with what they have in store throughout the process.”
The 70,000-capacity festival sold out this year Aug. 23-25, with a lineup that included Deadmau5, Fatboy Slim, Martin Garrix, Annie Mac, The Chemical Brothers, Swedish House Mafia, Tiesto, Amelie Lens, and many more.
Creamfields was launched as a one-day event in 1998 in Daresbury, Cheshire, U.K. Its promoters believe that the festival’s success rests upon its continued investment to evolve and improve and listening to the valuable input and feedback from fans who attend year on year. “It’s with this commitment to delivering the best possible show that 2020 will mark a new era for Creamfields,” a statement reads.
The full line up for Creamfields 15 will be announced soon. Ticket go on sale, Friday, Sept. 27.
