Julio Iglesias Postpones Tour Because Of Threat Of Hurricane Dorian

Julio Iglesias has been forced to put his tour on hold “due to the impending and uncertain path of Hurricane Dorian, which is still set to affect parts of the East Coast of the United States.” 

The postponed dates include Agganis Arena in Boston Sept. 14, Hertz Arena in Estero, Fla., Sept. 20; Infinite Energy Center in Duluth, Ga., Sept. 22; and Atlantic City’s Ocean Casino And Resort Sept. 28. 

An announcement from the singer’s PR rep notes that the most important thing to Iglesias is “the safety of the public” and that he’s “looking forward to having a great night with [fans] as soon as everything goes back to normal.” 

Tickets previously purchased will be honored at the yet-to-be-confirmed dates. 

Iglesias’ next scheduled show is Oct. 28 at London’s Royal Albert Hall. 

Recent reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice include a June 29 show at Altice Arena in Lisbon, Portugal, that sold 12,146 tickets and grossed $932,034 (835,860 euros). 

Bahamian Health Minister Duane Sands announced Wednesday evening that the death toll had reached 20 and warned that more fatalities were likely, according to the Associated Press. 

Pitbull rescheduled his Sept. 1 show at the LA County Fair for Sept. 12 because the Miami resident chose “to stay and tend to the safety of his family.” 

The Rolling Stones pushed up its Aug. 31 show at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens to Aug. 30 because of the hurricane.
