Comedian Rodney Carrington Signs With APA In All Areas
Multi-talented country comedian, actor, singer and writer Rodney Carrington has signed with APA in all areas, the agency announced today (June 17).
The prolific artist is repped at the agency by Frank Wing and continues to be managed by Greer Entertainment.
Carrington has been a true road warrior since bursting on the scene with his album debut, Hangin’ With Rodney, in 1998.
With the exception of a couple of months here and there, Carrington hasn’t taken an extended break since then.
In the last three years, he’s sold an average of 1,614 tickets and grossed $78,603 per show, according to box office reports submitted to Pollstar.
Carrington has recorded eight major label comedy albums, selling more than 3 million copies worldwide, including Morning Wood that was certified gold, and Greatest Hits that was certified Platinum by the RIAA.
His Laughter’s Good album debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes Overall Comedy Charts, and the re-release of his live C’mon Laugh You Bastards debuted at No. 2 the same week, according to a statement from APA.
He also starred in his own eponymous TV sitcom, “Rodney,” which ran for two seasons on ABC, and co-wrote and co-starred with Toby Keith in the feature film “Beer for My Horses.” Additionally, he has served as presenter at the 2011 American Country Awards and hosted The American Country New Year’s Eve Live show.
