ICM Partners Signs Sinead O’Connor; Irish Singer Returns To Music As ‘Shuhada Sadaqat’
– Sinead O’Connor
aka Shuhada Sadagat
Talent agency ICM Partners has signed Sinéad O’Connor for representation in all areas. The Irish multiple-award-winner will be represented by a team of agents including partner and co-head of worldwide concerts Rob Prinz (also a Pollstar Impact 50 honoree), along with agents Mike Hayes and Brandon Zmigrocki.
O’Connor is managed by brothers Kenneth Papenfus and Carl Papenfus of 67 Management.
“We are truly excited and honored to be working with such a talented, unique and groundbreaking artist,” Prinz said in a statement. “We cannot wait to see her performing in North America again.”
Returning to music by the name Shuhada Sadaqat in respect of her recent conversion to Islam, Sinéad O’Connor has left an indelible mark on the music world with her unique image and vocal style.
Her signing to ICM marks an apparent return to touring, as her most recent extensive dates were in 2015, mostly in Europe, although had also done multiple dates at various City Winery venues in North America.
Her return to music comes after somewhat public struggles, during which she stated she was suicidal after losing custody of a son and later appeared on the Dr. Phil show to discuss mental health issues among musicians.
