Laura Vilches and Danny Cohen joined Emporium Presents as new talent buyers and will support current projects and expand the company’s show productions.
Vilches, who will be based in Seattle, comes to Emporium from Paramount & State Theatres in Austin, where she was a booking manager responsible for presented shows and establishing co-promoter releationships.
After moving to Seattle, she’s managed artist relations for festivals such as BottleRock, Governors Ball, Lollapalooza, ACL Festival and touring with artists such as Death Cab for Cutie, LCD Soundsystem, and Rachel Bloom’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Live.
Cohen was most recently programming manager at Nassau Coliseum, where he was part of the re-opening team before joining Emporium in its Denver office. He got his start as a college buyer before heading to WME in Beverly Hills, Calif., as a booking and representative assistant.
He has since worked as a talent buyer for United Concerts, in artist relations and site operations at several festivals, and in venue management at Forest Hills Stadium in New York.
“Vilches and Cohen each bring years of industry experience with them, and we are thrilled to add them both to them Emporium Family,” Emporium partner Dan Steinberg said in a statement. Steinberg and partner Jason Zink joined Live Nation last year and produces more than 400 shows annually, with a growing presence in Canada.
Emporium Presents finished out 2018 at No. 88 on Pollstar’s Top 100 Worldwide Promoters chart, with 152,554 tickets sold.
