Lil Uzi Vert Reportedly Sued For $600k

Lil Uzi Vert is apparently being taken to court for missing an October performance in Tucson, Ariz.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that a promoter sued the rapper in Georgia’s Fulton County Superior Court because he bailed on the show and refused to reschedule.

Furthermore, the plaintiffs allege that Uzi failed to reimburse the expenses  and that the losses exceed $600,000.

This wouldn’t be the first time Lil Uzi Vert has been accused of failing to show up. Promoter VelleBe was awarded a $30,000 default judgment after suing Uzi for a missed a Texas show in 2017.

Uzi was also called out as publicly as possible for not showingup to Buku Music + Art Project festival in 2018, when organizers displayed the following message onstage during his set time: “Lil Uzi is still in Philadelphia and decided not to come at the last minute. There is no reason. He just canceled on us with no advance notice.

“We are donating a portion of his fee to Upbeat Academy Foundation. Enjoy Gryffin, now playing this stage from 8-9 p.m. with bigger and badder productions. Support artists who support their fans.”

The young rapper also quickly backed out of the “16*29 Tour” with Playboi Carti in 2017, stating he needed to “focus.”
