Midem Appoints David Hazan To Head North American Business

Heads up Midem’s business in North America
Reed MIDEM today announces the appointment of David Hazan to head up Midem’s North American business with immediate effect.
The next edition of Midem will take place in Cannes, France, June 4-7.
Hazan brings with him over 25 years of experience within the entertainment, experiential and media sectors. He has recently provided strategic and consulting services to more than two dozen tech, festival and media clients around the world including, for the past six years, Canadian Music Week.
He will be based in the Reed Midem offices in New York and he will report to Alexandre Deniot, Midem director.
“We are delighted to have David on board. He brings a strong blend of operating and strategic skills to Midem. His extensive and varied experience in the music industry together, with his passion for music, makes him the ideal person to develop Midem’s outreach in North America and ensure that the region has the representation it deserves at Midem in Cannes,” said Deniot.

David Hazan has previously held a variety of senior positions in the industry including, senior VP marketing at Putumayo World Music and Universal Classics Group, EVP of sales and marketing at Wind up Entertainment. He has also held senior executive positions at MTV Networks, Warner Music Group and The Orchard.
David speaks frequently as a moderator and panellist at leading conferences around the world. He started his career in Montreal as a drummer and bandleader.
