Boston Calling announced its high-octane 2019 lineup Thursday. Twenty One Pilots, Travis Scott and Tame Impala will headline the event, which is slated to take place from May 24 to 26 at the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston, Massachusetts.
Other noteworthy bookings include Odesza, Logic, Greta Van Fleet, Anderson .Paak & the Free Nationals, Hozier, Janelle Monáe, Brandi Carlile, Lord Huron, Sheck Wes, Christine and the Queens, Big Red Machine, Black Star, Guster, Mitski, Yaeji and Snail Mail. On top of the festival’s music offerings, Michael Che, Jenny Slate and Fred Armisen top a robust comedy lineup.

After touring overseas, Twenty One Pilots will embark on an extensive North American tour from May 1 to June 30 — and Boston Calling is the group’s only announced festival date on the continent. Twenty One Pilots toured little in 2018, but grossed $23.5 million worldwide in 2017.
In contrast, Boston Calling marks the third festival headliner booking of 2019 for both Scott and Tame Impala. Scott, who embarks on another North American leg of his Astroworld Tour from January 25 to March 24, also tops the bill of May’s Hangout and June’s Firefly. Tame Impala have no non-festival dates announced, but will headline April’s Coachella and May’s Shaky Knees, along with several European festivals this summer.
Notably, Boston Calling has nearly achieved gender equity in its lineup, having booked 41 percent female artists in 2019. As industry watchdog Book More Women notes on Twitter, that’s well ahead of the 2019 lineups other buzzy festivals have announced.
Eminem, The Killers and Jack White headlined Boston Calling in 2018.
Tickets for Boston Calling are on sale now, although they’ll increase in price as the event draws nearer. See the full lineup below.
