George Strait plays the Country Rising Benefit Concert at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville Nov. 12.
The saying “everything’s bigger in Texas” can certainly be applied to this year’s RodeoHouston lineup as the shindig is set to host a broad array of artists including George Strait, Luke Bryan, Cardi B, Chris Stapleton, Camila Cabello, Zedd, Santana, Prince Royce, Tim McGraw and many, many more.
The annual concert series at NRG Stadium @ NRG Park, part of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, will feature a show every night from Feb. 25 to March 17. Tickets go on sale Jan. 10 at 10 a.m., with the online waiting room opening at 9:30 a.m. Tickets start at $20 per show.
“Though the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo remains deeply rooted in country music, we are also proud to be a part of our wonderfully diverse community,” Joel Cowley, Rodeo president and CEO, said in a statement. “As such, we are excited to present a wonderfully diverse and talented 2019 lineup that will welcome 12 newcomers to the rotating stage.”
Strait’s 2019 RodeoHouston appearance was announced in May, so there has been plenty of time for anticipation to build. Last year’s lineup included two nights of Garth Brooks, along with Little Big Town, Alessia Cara, Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, and many others. Return acts from last year’s edition include Brad Paisley, Chris Stapleton, and Luke Bryan.
The RodeoHouston shows are big business, as Little Big Town’s set Feb. 28 at NRG Astrodome reported 71,384 tickets and grossed $2.74 million.
