Live Nation U.S. Concerts Adds Ackles As Senior Touring Director, Plumley As Senior Marketing Director
Live Nation has named Steve Ackles senior director of touring and Anna Plumley senior director of marketing, with both recently having spent time at rival promoter AEG Presents.
Ackles will help oversee national stadium and arena tours throughout North America, while Plumley will market a range of artists including tours with new Live Nation partner Frank Productions.
Both will be based in Los Angeles and report to senior vice presidents of North American touring Omar Al-Joulani and Ryan McElrath.
Ackles founded Bay State Group in 2009, where he shifted into a concert promoter role in the New England market. In 2011, he was named talent buyer at the Bowery Electric before joining AEG Presents in 2012 where he went from coordinator to manager of touring. He oversaw national tours for artists including A$AP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar, Kid Cudi, and Migos. He was also part of the team responsible for arena tours for artists including The Who and Carrie Underwood, and stadium tours for Paul McCartney and Justin Bieber.
“With the expansion of our touring team, Live Nation is able to service an even wider breadth of artists and help them cultivate the best live experience for their fans,” Live Nation President of U.S. Concerts Bob Roux said in a statement. “Steve and Anna have already hit the ground running and we’re thrilled to have them on our team.”
