Police Arrest Suspect After Fatal Stabbing At Hideout Festival Croatia

A British festivalgoer was killed on Wednesday, June 27, in an altercation outside the Kalypso Club on Zrce Beach, Croatia, where Hideout Festival takes place.

Two more men were injured in the fight, which erupted between two groups of tourists. Local media reports speak of two rivalling groups from the U.K..
One man was in critical condition but stable at press time. After detaining questioning seven British citizens on the incident without luck, local police have reportedly arrested a suspect at Split airport. 
Croatia’s interior minister Davor Bozinovic has since confirmed that the suspect is a 25-year old British citizen.
The victim has been identified as 26-year old Ugo Wilson, from Barnet, North London.
The promoters of Hideout Festival, Broadwick Live, which is part of Global’s company portfolio, issued the following statement on Facebook:
“Following an incident involving a group of young men at Zrće Beach early this morning, one man tragically lost his life. Another man remains in hospital. 
“We are giving every assistance to the investigation and our thoughts and condolences are with the family and friends of the people affected.
“As always, we are working closely with the local authorities with the safety and security of everyone on site as our top priority. The Hideout Team.”
