Dua Lipa (And Her Dad) Bringing Sunny Hill Festival To Kosovo; Action Bronson Confirmed, Mystery Headliner TBA

The father of pop singer Dua Lipa is organizing the Sunny Hill Festival in the family’s native Kosovo featuring Dua Lipa, American rapper/TV host Action Bronson and a mystery headliner at Germia National Park in the city of Prishtina Aug. 10-12.

The singer/model has a hit single out with Calvin Harris leading to speculation that he may be the blurred-out name on the festival flier.
Tickets are already on sale at sunnyhillfestival.com, with the website proclaiming: “Our aim is to create a festival of a high standard, one that will put Prishtina and Kosovo on the music and festival map as a place that is worth visiting, a place that loves music and knows how to have fun.
“We want to attract visitors from all over the world to come and visit our country and enjoy the festival, and performances from dozens of artists of different genres.”
While more artists are announced, the festival site prominently displays the “main act to be announced.” Father dearest Dukagjin Lipa responded on twitter with the message, “I cant say who it is, but this guy is super super cool. .”

Dukagjin Lipa’s Repubklia agency describes itself as “Prishtina based Creative Communications Agency established in February 2008, with a growing portfolio of local and national clients. We are proud to say that we have enrolled in our ranks some of the best Kosovar talent and with our hard work we have gained some of the most prestigious and most professional clients.”
Dua Lipa has established herself as a worldwide headliner but is especially big in the UK, and moved with her family to London when she was 15 with dreams of becoming a star. This April she sold just under 10,000 tickets to the revamped Alexandra Palace in London ($318,000 grossed) and sold more than 12,500 tickets to the SSE Hydro in Glasgow grossing $443,000. Recent big showings Stateside include Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, House of Blues Boston and Hammerstein Ballroom in New York.
She’s been on the road for most of 2018 and just kicked off a North American run in June, after which she has lots of festival plays on both sides of the Atlantic. She’s represented Stateside by Carole Kinzel at CAA and WME internationally.
