Lost Lake Festival Canceled; Superfly Phoenix Event Was To Feature Chainsmokers, Imagine Dragons, Future

Lost Lake Festival in Phoenix has been canceled, with producer Superfly only saying the decision to cancel it was difficult.

The second-year event was to feature Imagine Dragons, Future, The Chainsmokers, SZA, Janelle Monae, Cashmere Cat and many others Oct. 19-21 at Steele Indian School Park in Phoenix. 
Last year featured Chance The Rapper, Pixies, Haim, The Killers, The Roots, and many others with organizers saying more than 40,000 people attended the first-year event. 
Superfly also produces Bonnaroo (with Live Nation and AC Entertainment) and is launching the new Grandoozy festival in Colorado this year.
The Lost Lake cancellation comes after Los Angeles’ long-running FYF was canceled this year.

The festival business is notoriously difficult, with even established players going under like last year’s Pemberton disaster.
New events to crop up this year include Incuya in Cleveland, co-produced by AEG Presents and the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, and Bass Canyon at The Gorge in Washington, headlined by dubstep artist Excision and curated by United Talent Agency.
Meanwhile events like Prime Social Group’s Breakaway and Prime brands continue to expand.
