BOCS Entertainment, the entertainment division of LAFC sports at LA’s state-of-the-art Banc Of California Stadium, has hired Ryan Northcott as senior vice president of booking for its Downtown L.A. headquarters.
In his new role at BOCS Entertainment, Northcott will focus on booking all concert and sports events, other than MLS matches of LAFC. The list includes headline music concerts, radio shows, music festivals, and multi-cultural music events; international, national and local sporting events.
BOCS Entertainment is the recently formed division of LAFC Sports, dedicated to developing, operating and managing entertainment, major sporting and special events at the new Banc Of California Stadium. The venue just got inaugurated by its first concert event, the star-studded iHeartMedia sponsored Wango Tango, which saw Ariana Grande, Miguel, Janelle Monae, Marshmello, who brought out Logic, as well as
Pollstar spoke with the division’s president Adam Friedman, who explained why the new $350 million, 23,000-capacity stadium erected in central LA was unique. “The amount of detail they spent on developing a project that would not only work for sports but live music events in terms of productions and sights and sounds, it’s really one of a kind,” he said.
Friedman, who oversees the booking process at the venue, said he was excited to welcome Northcott to the team. “Ryan joins us with an impressive track record of bringing world-class talent and entertainment to venues across California,” Friedman said.
Northcott added, “I am thrilled to join Adam and the LAFC team in building the live entertainment legacy for Banc of California Stadium by programming and creating unique, world-class events at this stunning new venue and the adjacent festival grounds.
