Tixserve Strikes Deal With Ireland’s Biggest Independent Ticketing Company Tickets.ie

Ireland-based B2B white label ticketing platform Tixserve has struck a deal with the country’s largest independent ticketing provider tickets.ie.

Tickets.ie specializes in stadium tickets, but also sells in theatre, music and arts. It processes 2.7 million tickets annually by its own admission. The deal with Tixserve allows tickets.ie customers to access their digital tickets within a dedicated app.

The offering is initially being made available to selected tickets.ie clients.

Tixserve claims its “track and trace” technology can assist in the eradication of ticket fraud. Pollstar wanted to know how, and Tixserve MD Patrick Kirby explained: “The secure digital ticket fulfillment solution developed by Tixserve enables rights owners to control the life cycle of each ticket. This ‘track and trace’ functionality involves the linking of each digital ticket at the time of purchase to the ticketholder’s name, mobile phone number and the unique ID of the ticketholder’s mobile device.

“This triple-check security measure means that the status of each ticket cannot be changed after purchase unless the Tixserve ecosystem permits a change. The Tixserve ticket management system monitors the real-time status of each ticket and technically regulates requests for changes of ticket ownership.

“The ticket management system enables the rights owner to set business rules for the exchange of unwanted tickets and/or ticket resale. The ‘track and trace’ functionality meshes with a suite of other configurable security measures that prevent, among other things, the fraudulent duplication of the digital ticket.”

Tixserve’s white label solution allows clients to add client-branded event information, including the line-up, artist bios, venue details, notifications about food and beverage or merchandise etc., to their digital tickets.

The partnership means tickets.ie customers “will benefit from highly secure, convenient and content-rich digital tickets, which can be tailor-made to bring real added value to each individual event, enabling new revenue opportunities for organizers,” said Kirby.
