Spectra Announces New Booking & Management Agreements
In addition to providing venue management for the new Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center in Sandy Springs, Ga., Spectra by Comcast Spectacor announced Nov. 13 that it will be handling booking for the facility set to open in September 2018.
The PAC, which is located on the new 15-acre City Springs mixed use development, includes a 1,100-seat theatre, 350-seat studio theatre, and conference center. Programming will include popular entertainment acts, comedy, arts education, film and lecture.
“We are excited to bring artists and tours to this brand new facility that will offer an array of world-class amenities to those performing,” venue GM Michael Enoch said in a statement. “The quality and design of the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center is something unique to a venue of its size and we look forward to hosting events for the metro-Atlanta area where there is currently a void for this type of facility.”
Spectra will also be handling in-house food and beverage service for all events.
Folks interested in booking at the PAC are encouraged to contact David Daly, director of programming at 770-206-2063 or visit CitySprings.com.
In other news, Spectra has finalized a multi-year agreement to manage and program the Prescott Valley Event Center in Prescott Valley, Ariz. The company will also carry out partnership sales, market the venue and its events, provide operational oversight and help lead planned capital improvement projects.
The operations agreement at the 6,000-seat multi-purpose arena and event center officially began Oct. 27. An announcement notes that Spectra had “already been enhancing concert and entertainment bookings through innovative marketing and publicity, and driving incremental revenue through sponsorship sales and activations,” through a previous consulting agreement.
Scott Norton has been named the GM of the Prescott Valley Event Center. An 11-year employee of Spectra, Norton most recently served as director of marketing and public relations at the University of Phoenix Stadium.
The event center is the home of the NBA G league team the Northern Arizona Suns, the minor league affiliate of the Phoenix Suns.
