Styx And Don Felder Return To Vegas

So nice they had to do it twice! Styx and Don Felder enjoyed their run of shows in Las Vegas earlier this year, so they are booking another five in 2018.

“Styx & Don Felder: Renegades In The Fast Lane” will be held at The Venetian Theatre Jan. 26, 27, 31 and Feb. 2-3. Their first run at the venue was in January earlier this year.  

VIP and artist presale tickets are up for grabs Sept. 20. Grazie loyalty members and Live Nation patrons get a presale Sept. 21. The general onsale is Sept. 22 at 10 a.m.

The shows will feature a Styx lineup that includes Tommy Shaw, James “JY” Young, Lawrence Gowan, Todd Sucherman and Ricky Phillips, with the “occasional surprise appearance by original bassist Chuck Panozzo.”

Styx recently teamed up with REO Speedwagon for a summer tour and Felder was also featured in many of those shows. Those shows drew a minimum of about 4,000 and crested at the Pepsi Center in Denver, when they got more than 10,000. Tickets were easy on the wallet, with most shows featuring a low end of around $25.

The Venetian seems to tend towards these “limited engagements” over the span of a week or so, rather than the longer-term residencies at some other neighboring Strip locations. Some of the most recent performers at the venue have been Diana Ross, John Cleese / Eric Idle, The Moody Blues, and Pepsi Center.
