Modern English Plots Makeup Dates
Modern English guitarist Gary McDowell needed throat surgery earlier in the year and called off some shows, but the band has now plotted a trek to make good on those missed dates.

The North American routing starts Nov. 1 in Saint Paul, Minn., and continues for about three weeks, wrapping up Nov. 22 in Brooklyn, N.C.
Presales for select dates open Sept. 13. Tickets go on sale to the general public Sept. 15, though it seems like Kansas City is already available.
Prior to the North American tour, Modern English is hitting Germany Oct. 3-7.
Best known for “I Melt with You,” Modern English broke up in 1991, then reformed with new members in 1995 and brought the original members back together in 2009. The group dropped a new release , Take Me To The Trees, earlier this year. The band is Robbie Grey, Mick Conroy, McDowell, and Stephen Walker.
Modern English was a part of the “Retro Futura Tour” in North America earlier this year with Howard Jones, The English Beat, Men Without Hats and Paul Young.
