Xfinity Arena in Everett, Wash., is soon to be no more, though Comcast has agreed to allow the name to stand on the 10,000-seat venue until a new naming rights sponsor is found.

Comcast’s deal expired June 30, and arena staff is talking with potential candidates, GM Rick Comeau told the Herald of Everett, adding that his goal is to find a sponsor that is “invested and involved” in the local area.

The building, operated by Spectra, is adjacent to a conference center that is not part of the naming rights deal.

Comcast had a 10-year contract for the main arena and ice rink, and paid $375,764 for the naming rights during the last year, according to the paper.
