SoCal Trailblazers Take Center Stage At LA-A-Go-Go

Longtime rockers like Los Straitjackets, Love Revisited, Chambers Brothers, Little Willie G. with The Midniters, Chris Montez, Swamp Dogg and many more will be celebrated at the inaugural LA-A-Go-Go event and Pollstar has the exclusive details!

The first ever edition of LA-A-Go-Go will be at The Regent Theater in Los Angeles Nov. 4. 

The theme for all of the acts is to “shine a spotlight on some of these beloved local music heroes” from LA that have influenced the development of the rock, soul and surf genres. The evening will be is historic exploration of these hometown heroes, so this is right up the alley of music history buffs.

Tickets to the shindig are on sale now.

The event is being organized by Dan Perloff of Manifesto Records and Richard Foos of Rhino Records and Shout! Factory and it is said to derive inspiration from New Orleans’ Ponderosa Stomp, which has also featured Los Straitjackets and Swamp Dogg.

Additional acts include The Honeys, Davie Allan, The Regent Theater and the Hi-Seas, featuring Tom Kenny, the voice of Spongebob.
