UTA To Close Toronto Office
– UTA
According to an internal email obtained by Pollstar, UTA’s Jeremy Zimmer alerted staff that the expansions of the last year, and key hires like David Zedeck as global head of music, have positively impacted the company; however, the shifts will move Canadian operations to the New York and L.A. offices.
“We’re taking this step after careful consideration, and we recognize it’s a tough one for our colleagues there. They are talented professionals who we’ve collaborated with for many years and who have contributed to our success,” the email says.
Obviously, the move will impact staff. Pollstar understands that many were offered the opportunity to continue at the other offices and, while some may have accepted, others call Toronto home and have decided to continue their careers in their city under other auspices. That, apparently, will include chief Ralph James and City And Colour rep Rob Zifarelli.
