Rosser joined Afghan Whigs in 2014 for their reformation, contributing to band’s Do to the Beast album. In October 2016, the band announced that Rosser had inoperable colon cancer and played two benefit shows in December to help pay for the guitarist’s medical bills, according to RollingStone.
Despite his diagnosis, Rosser contributed to Afghan Whigs’ latest LP, In Spades, which was released in May.
Rosser also contributed to albums by Tim Heidecker, Ani DiFranco and Joseph Arthur.
