When James Murphy first confirmed that LCD Soundsystem was returning to the stage in April 2016, five years after its breakup, he promised that a new album was coming. We now have a release date for the LP and the itinerary for a world tour.

American Dream is due out Sept. 1 via Columbia Records/DFA. The project is the first new collection of tunes from LCD since 2010’s This Is Happening. The group showed off two songs from the album – the title track and “Call The Police” – during an appearance as the musical guest on “Saturday Night Live” in May.
The fall tour launches with a run of shows in Europe in September, including stops in Copenhagen Amsterdam, Paris, Manchester and London.
The North American portion of the trek kicks off Oct. 17 at The Anthem in Washington, D.C.
The routing includes two nights at The Coca-Cola Roxy Theatre in Atlanta, five shows at the Hollywood Palladium, two gigs in The Fillmore Philadelphia, and another extended stay at Brooklyn Steel.
Plus, the band is headed to Miami, New Orleans, Dallas, Detroit, Montreal and Boston. Check out the plan by visiting
