A Perfect Circle Announces Fall Tour
A Perfect Circle just loaded up its calendar with a dozen U.S. gigs and a few performances in Canada.
The fall tour runs from late October through early December, starting with a previously announced appearance at Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, Calif., Oct. 21. The band is joined by special guest The Beta Machine.
The new headline shows start Oct. 23 at The Broadmoore World Arena in Colorado Springs, Colo.
The itinerary includes stops in Brooklyn, Boston, Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago, Saint Paul and Seattle.
The Canada portion of the outing consists of shows in Laval, Quebec; Toronto; and Vancouver.
A Perfect Circle returned to the road in April for its first tour since 2011, with the exception of a handful of gigs in 2012 and 2014.
The Las Vegas Review Journal was there for the 2017 tour kickoff at Las Vegas’ Pearl Concert Theater April 6.
“[Maynard James Keenan] doesn’t pull his words from the headlines, and yet, four years after A Perfect Circle last toured and over a decade since they made a new record, it was as if they never left, both in terms of the sharpness of their performance at The Pearl on Thursday and the contemporary relevancy of portions of their catalog,” the Journal’s Jason Bracelin writes.
Fans are waiting on the follow-up album to 2004’s Emotive. A Perfect Circle’s next project is expected out this year.
The band’s current lineup features Maynard James (Tool, Puscifer), Billy Howerdel (Ashes Divide), James Iha (Tinted Windows, ex-Smashing Pumpkins), Jeff Friedl (Puscifer, The Beta Machine), and Matt McJunkins (Eagles of Death Metal, The Beta Machine).
Presales for select dates start June 22. General onsales for most dates begin June 23. Tickets for Seattle go on sale June 29.
