CityFox Gets Its License
The Brooklyn promoters of CityFox, who went hat-in-hand to the city’s Community Board 1 after having their venue’s liquor confiscated and being forced to vacate its premises, finally got the green light to host events again.

The promoters were granted a license by the New York State Liquor Authority April 3 that will allow CityFox to permanently open Brooklyn Mirage, the 6,000-capacity outdoor space.
The plan is for Brooklyn Mirage to be a part of a larger complex called Avant Gardner that will host various musical, film and performing arts events.
The tension between local government and CityFox included the shutdown of a Halloween party on a former plastic factory housing toxic materials, organizing parties with only a catering permit, and eventually being forced to vacate its venue because of unsafe conditions.
