John Graham Retiring

John Graham, director of the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas, for 28 years, has announced his retirement.

Graham got his start in the arena industry in 1980 as events manager of Assembly Hall (now State Farm Center) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

He worked his way up the ladder to become associate director of Frank Erwin Center in May 1989 and was promoted to director the next year.

Graham’s achievements include booking the first WWF (now WWE) event in Austin in 1989, two nights of State Farm Center in 2013 and most recently the iHeartCountry Music Festival.
