Grammys Still In Negotiation
The rumor that the Grammys may be returning to New York is true: Yes, there is a rumor. As far as it happening, don’t count those chickens just yet.

Carrie Underwood lights up a packed house at Madison Square Garden in New York City Oct. 25.
Which jibes with a short statement MSG sent out the next day:
“While we are in active negotiations to bring the Grammys back to Madison Square Garden, we want to be clear that no agreement has been reached.”
It is possible that the statement is simply a reaction to Page Six of the New York Post that also published Feb. 28 an article that claimed it was a done deal.
“Music maven Neil Portnow confirms they’re back,” Cindy Adams wrote. “New York gets them this year (sic).”
An MSG spokeswoman was unavailable for further comment at press time.
