Chris Rock’s ‘Blackout’ To Roll Through North America

Comedy legend Chris Rock is headed back on the road for the first time in nine years, and he is bringing brand new material.

The comedian made the announcement through a video on Facebook yesterday. In it, he is outside the  in West Hollywood, Calif., before an amateur night and reminisces over his own time there with the likes of Sam Kinison and promises more laughs to come.

The new tour, titled “Total Blackout,” starts Feb. 14 in Durham, N.C. at the . From there, Rock has shows across the country over the next few months, eventually ending at  in Atlantic City, N.J. on June 3.

Rock first entered the spotlight on Saturday Night Live, but came into his own through his comedy specials. In his heyday programs like “Bring The Pain,” “Bigger and Blacker” and “Never Scared” earned him accolades like “the funniest man in America” according to Time Magazine.
