LN In Talks To Buy Metropolis Music

Bob Angus, founder of London-based concert promotion company Metropolis Music, has been looking to relinquish control for some time, and Live Nation is a potential suitor.

A Live Nation takeover of Metropolis is imminent, according to a Music Week report.

LN UK chairman Denis Desmond is quoted saying, “Bob Angus and Metropolis are an important partner of Live Nation’s, having worked together for a number of years with the AMG venues and more recently V Festival. We are always in discussions with Bob about our mutual interests.”

Former Metropolis promoters Paul Hutton and Conal Dodds had been in negotiations about taking control of the company, but eventually left in September to launch their own venture by the name of Crosstown Concerts.
