An iHeart80s Party Targets San Jose

News of the event brings two levels of déjà vu into focus.  If you’re thinking the event’s “iHeart80s Party” moniker sounds familiar, you probably remember last year’s extravaganza at the Forum in Inglewood, Calif.

But if you’re familiar with the collected works of each and every act on the lineup, then you’re probably experiencing an ’80s flashback and will need to obtain tickets to this special evening ASAP.  With original MTV vee-jay Martha Quinn returning as host, the second annual iHeart80s Party is set for the SAP Center at San Jose Jan. 28.

The general onsale launches Nov. 4 at 10 a.m. PDT. Those of you feeling lucky will want to listen to one of the more than 150 iHeartMedia Mainstream AC, Hot AC and Classic Hits stations for the opportunity to win a trip to San Jose and partake in the incredible immersion of ’80s music, culture, language and customs.

However, if you want to pay your own way, you better move fast come Friday.  Last year’s iHeart80s Party sold out within minutes, and prompted iHeartMedia to launch a iHeart80s radio station in San Francisco in June.

“Launching iHeart80s on one of our FM stations in San Francisco makes the Bay Area the ideal place to host this year’s show,” said Tom Poleman, iHeartMedia president of national programming.  “This year’s incredible roaster of performers is a perfect example of why the ’80s remain so popular, and we can’t wait to bring the iHeart80s Party to the Bay Area in 2017.”
