Aussie Companies Merge
The two started working together 20 years ago on the multi-platinum band Powderfinger, whom Piticco managed. Piticco went on to set up an empire, which under the names Dew Process or Secret Service included two record labels, music publishing, PR, and artist management. His projects with Ducrou include the Splendour In The Grass and four-state Falls Music and Arts Festival, as well as a brand partnership division for the festivals.
“Secret Sounds is a new entity but the companies that make up our group aren’t,” they Ducrou and Piticco said in a statement. Independently they worked together to build up the profiles of Australian and international acts as Mumford & Sons, The Living End, London Grammar, Bernard Fanning, Courtney Barnett, and Birds of Tokyo.
“This joining together makes sense to us for many reasons,” they said. “Creatively, we’ve worked together for many years. Putting our teams together will allow us to create new magic and grow our brains trust.”
