Rolling Stones Nix Tonight’s Vegas Gig

A case of laryngitis is the villain and Mick Jagger the victim in this story of shattered dreams and lost hopes as word from Las Vegas reveals that tonight’s Rolling Stones gig planned for T-Mobile Arena is canceled.

The concert was to be the first of two Stones shows at the venue following the band’s double-weekend appearances at the music festival.

But you never know what fate has in store.  Doctors have ordered Jagger to rest his voice.

While word from T-Mobile is that the Oct. 19 show has been canceled, there is still hope for a second chance.  Venue officials said they “hope to have information about the possibility of rescheduling this date very soon.”

And what about the Stones’ second night at T-Mobile, planned for Oct. 22?  The announcement states officials “hope to have further information about the status of the concert.”

Perhaps the worst of today’s bad news concerns travelers that have planned trips to Vegas just to see the Stones in action.   Today’s announcement states that “The Rolling Stones, T-Mobile Arena, AXS, MGM Resorts International, Concerts West and AEG Live are not responsible for hotel, travel or other expenses related to the cancellation of this performance.”
