Bikers Ride For Dio
Motorcyclists and musicians from all walks will mount hogs and take the stage to honor the memory of metal frontman Ronnie James Dio May 22.
The singer died of gastric cancer in 2010 and this year’s marks the second annual Ride For Ronnie and concert, at which funds will be raised for the Dio Cancer Fund. Famous riders include Sons of Anarchy actors Emilio Rivera, Michael Beach and Sean McNabb.
Participants will be rumbling from Glendale to Encino in the morning alongside actors, musicians and Dio’s widow, Wendy. Musical performances will be provided by Great White, Lita Ford, and Dio Disciples, among others, at Los Encinos Park in Encino, Calif.
The cancer fund set up in the name of the highly influential former Black Sabbath vocalist has now raised more than $1 million.
