Tune In: Pollstar One-On-One With Marcie Allen, President Of MAC Presents
Marcie Allen, president of MAC Presents, sits down with Pollstar today at 12:30 p.m. PDT on Facebook for the latest in the series of One-On-One live streamed interviews in the digital series.
Allen, a 25-year industry vet, is one of the top marketing professionals in the business and got her real world experience from the ground up, getting her start with Cellar Door Productions as an intern and moving on to start her own company, MAD Presents, booking and promoting concerts, festivals and other events including Atlanta’s On The Bricks and Nashville’s Dancing In The District.
In 2004, seeing a new opportunity, she switched gears and started MAC Presents, where she creates partnerships between the world’s leading brands and artists to connect them with fans. Among her most notable recent pairings Garth Brooks and Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Imagine Dragons and Southwest Airlines, Citi and both Andra Day and Global Citizen, Chance the Rapper and Kenzo, and Ludacris with AT&T among many, many others.
Always on the lookout for new opportunities, Marcie’s latest venture is Anzie Blue, a Nashville specialty café and coffee bar featuring high-end CBD infused drinks and food items, as well as luxury CBD products. She partnered with her husband, Derek Van Mol, to start the business in December, just months before coronavirus concerns shut down most small businesses and virtually all of the concert business.
Allen’s philanthropic efforts can’t go unmentioned. She’s booked all the acts for the two-day ATLive concerts at Mercedes-Benz Arena in Atlanta that benefitted the Johnnie Mac Soldier’s Fund and was honored by the White House as a “Champion of Change” for raising funds and getting supplies to families in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy.
Tune in to hear about all about these ventures and more at Pollstar‘s Facebook platform at 12:30 p.m. Pacific time.
