– Poster for 2020 Village Of Love
Independent booking agency and management company Panache is once again showing love to Planned Parenthood by hosting Village Of Love, its eighth annual Valentine’s Day Planned Parenthood benefit concert series with event held in cities across the U.S. Panache unveiled the lineup today for its Los Angeles edition, topped by Mac DeMarco, who is managed and booked by the company (excluding the U.K. and Europe).
The benefit show takes place Feb. 14 at the Teragram Ballroom, with all proceeds going to Planned Parenthood of Los Angeles. The event also includes Jess Cornelius, who is booked by Panache, and Rodrigo Amarante, who is managed by the company.
Other artists taking the stage to perform original tunes and covers of their favorite songs include Cherry Glazerr, Cornelia Murr, Soko, Prettiest Eyes, William Tyler, Molly Lewis, and Pearl Charles. Reverberations DJS will provide DJ sets and the lineup poster promises “special guests.”
Tickets go on sale Jan. 10 at 10 a.m. via Eventbrite, priced at $35 in advance and $40 day of show.
DeMarco made headlines in the indie world after playing the 2016 benefit and delighting fans with a cover of Billy Joel’s “Just The Way You Are,” along with one of his favorite covers – Four Seasons’ “December 1963 (Oh, What A Night).”
Panache will also host benefit concerts at New York City’s TV Eye, Chicago’s Lincoln Hall, San Francisco’s Rickshaw Stop and Miami’s Gramps.
Village of Love Benefit Concerts in Los Angeles, Chicago, and Detroit in 2019 raised almost $40,000 for Planned Parenthood facilities.
Panache founder Michelle Cable spoke with Pollstar last year about working with client Ty Segall. Pollstar also interviewed Cable for a 2017 Mac DeMarco cover story.
