Andrea Bocelli Named Hot Shot & Heavy Hitter On LIVE75 Chart

Morgan Wallen is No. 1 on the LIVE75 chart for a second consecutive week, based on ticket sales averages from two arena concerts in Arkansas. The total number of tickets for his sold-out engagement in North Little Rock reached 29,228 with prices ranging from $49.75 to $99.75.

Andrea Bocelli enters as the HOT SHOT artist of the week, ranked second based on a ticket average of 13,055, the highest among the 32 acts making their debuts on this week’s chart. He appeared Dec. 15-16 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, selling out both performances and grossing more than $4.6 million. The gross average from the two shows earns him HEAVY HITTER status as well. Eight concerts in American cities during the last quarter of 2021 were reported for the famed Italian tenor with sold tickets from the shows totaling 89,297 for a $16.2 million gross.
This week’s NOISE MAKER is the Connecticut band Goose, based on a leap of 44 positions from No. 54 last week into the Top 10 in this issue. It comes on the heels of reported ticket sales from a two-night New Year’s Eve engagement in Chicago at the Riviera Theatre with a 2,544-ticket average per show. In last week’s issue, the group’s ticket average of 903 was based on shows at three Texas clubs in November with attendance under 2,000 in each.
Veteran R&B star Brian McKnight is the BREAKTHROUGH artist based on five sold-out performances in late 2021. He averaged 416 sold seats per show at venues in Chicago and Columbus, Ohio. 
Pollstar’s LIVE75 ranks worldwide active tours by average tickets sold for reported shows played over the last 30 days. Active Tours with at least three reported shows are eligible to chart. An Active Tour is one where there are upcoming shows in the next 30 days in Pollstar’s Route Book database, or one Pollstar feels is of significance.

HOT SHOT is the highest charting new Active Tour.

NOISE MAKER is the Active Tour with biggest positive chart gain from previous week.

BREAKTHROUGH is the Active Tour showing a ticket sales breakthrough by packing the house.

HEAVY HITTER designates the artist with the highest average gross on the chart.
