Miranda Lambert And Little Big Town Announce 2022 Revival Of ‘The Bandwagon Tour’

Country stars Miranda Lambert and Little Big Town announced a co-headlining late spring tour on Friday.

“The Bandwagon Tour,” which rekindles the two acts’ 2018 joint outing of the same name, will hit 15 cities in May and June, beginning at Houston’s Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on May 6.

After Houston, the run will make several other stops throughout the south, including at Dallas’ Dos Equis Pavilion (May 7) and Tampa’s MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre (May 13). The tour will then wind through the Midwest, hitting St. Louis’ Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre (May 20), Cincinnati’s Riverbend Music Center (May 22) and Detroit’s DTE Energy Music Theatre (June 3) before wrapping with stops in the Northeast, including a closing night at BB&T Pavilion in Camden, N.J., June 11.

Live Nation is producing the tour, which will feature The Cadillac Three as support on all dates. In late April, Lambert and The Cadillac Three will perform three dates outside of “The Bandwagon Tour” without Little Big Town on the bill.

The previous “Bandwagon Tour” was a resounding box office success, grossing $11.6 million across 17 dates, according to Pollstar‘s database, and ranking No. 105 on Pollstar‘s year-end North American touring chart that year. The tour’s 2022 iteration will play several of the same venues as in 2018, including Dos Equis Pavilion, where the bill moved 15,777 tickets and grossed $875,174 on Aug. 11, 2018, and Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville, Ind., where Lambert and Little Big Town sold 17,963 tickets and grossed $870,243 on July 14, 2018.

“That euphoric love of music, something that drives both acts, demonstrated how music brings people together,” Pollstar wrote in a review of the 2018 Noblesville show. “With both bands onstage – six guitars strong, plus steel, banjo, mandolin, keyboards, two drummers – they moved from their sleek event record ‘Smokin’ and Drinkin” to an all-girls version of Lambert’s ‘Little Red Wagon’ featuring Kimberly Schlapman and Karen Fairchild trading vocals that morphed into a feverish version of Prince’s ‘Let’s Go Crazy,’ giving LBT’s Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook a chance to flex some testosterone in the decidedly girl power evening.”

More recently, Lambert returned to the road with a vengeance in 2021, playing the likes of Nashville’s CMA Summer Jam and Fort Lauderdale’s Tortuga Music Festival, and headlining three August shows at Whitewater Amphitheater outside of San Antonio that grossed $1 million total.

Little Big Town were also road warriors in 2021, ranking No. 94 on Pollstar‘s worldwide year-end touring chart with $3.7 million grossed across 21 shows. The band’s box office highlights included a sold-out show at Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, S.D., on June 19, that moved 5,557 and grossed $411,231, and a two-night September Stand at the Chicago Theater that sold out 5,504 tickets for $399,468 grossed.

Tickets for “The Bandwagon Tour” go onsale Jan. 14 at 10 a.m. local time, except for its Houston date, which goes onsale Jan. 21 at 10 a.m. local time.
