Maná returns to Southern California for the first time since pre-pandemic days, with a four-date residency at the Forum in Inglewood that the popular Mexican rock band promises to expand as long as fan demand warrants.

That could be a lot of dates.
The residency, Maná’s first at the Forum, kicks off March 18-19 and April 22-23, and past history suggests more dates could indeed be to come. Maná broke a record at the Forum in 2019 with seven concerts in a year, besting Kanye West and the Eagles.
Tickets go on sale Friday, Nov. 19 at 10 a.m. PST via Ticketmaster.
Past performances reported to Pollstar’s Boxoffice include several multiple-date runs at Staples Center in Los Angeles, where they last performed in 2015. That two-date, sold out run moved a total of 28,728 tickets and grossed $3,220,264; a three-night, sold-out run in 2012 sold 41,079 tickets for $3,942,250, and a five-night skein in 2011 counted 53,056 tickets and grossed $5,169,244.
For Maná, one challenge will be keeping performances fresh with unique shows, so fans coming back for more won’t simply be getting repeat performances.
“We have so many surprises in store for our fans at this residency,” said the members of Maná in a statement. “No two shows will be the same. Get ready to see Maná like never before  special guests, unique set lists, and a kick-ass new production we put together special for these shows at the Forum. LA is a second home for us. We started here 30 years ago at the Hollywood Palace and we’ve been rocking with LA fans ever since. We are amped to get back on stage in the city of angels and want our fans to feel the same.  Don’t wait because tickets will go fast! ”
According to the announcement, the residency will be the only U.S. dates for  Maná in 2022.
“We are proud to announce this historic residency with Maná, doing what no other band has ever done in Los Angeles,” said Geni Lincoln, GM / SVP of booking for the Forum. “On their 2019 ‘Rayando El Sol Tour,’ Maná cemented their position as the reigning kings of the Forum, breaking the record for the most shows sold out on a single tour since our remodel and reopening. This residency is the culmination of an incredible journey, with an incredible band, and we look forward to hosting their fans from around the world for these historic shows.”
Considered the most influential Latin rock band in the world, Maná continues to transcend generations with their music. Maná began in 1986 when four friends from Guadalajara, Mexico came together to fuse new rock sounds with Latin and Caribbean rhythms.
The group includes Fher Olvera as vocalist, guitarist and main composer, Alex Gonza´lez on drums, Sergio Valli´n on lead guitar, and Juan Diego Calleros on bass. The group released their first album, Falta Amor in 1990. In 1992, they released ¿Dónde Jugarán los Niños?, which sold more than 10 Million copies worldwide, becoming the best-selling Spanish-language rock album of all time.
