NEC Launches Marketing Agency
UK venue operator NEC Group has announced it will launch a specialist marketing, media and sponsorship agency to capitalise on demand from within the event industry.
Eight Feet Tall will provide services to exhibition, sport, convention and entertainment clients for ticket sales and registrations.
It will be run by the group’s former marketing services director, Stuart Cain, who has been given the new title of managing director for commercial marketing.
Cain will also be responsible for the development of national ticket agency, The Ticket Factory, which now sells more than 2.5 million tickets per year.
Cain said he’s excited to take on the role, adding that the company “has gone from being the box office of three venues to being a national online retailer, selling for events including the RHS Flower Shows, Robbie Williams at Wembley, Michael Buble at The O2, and Crufts.”
FMCG brand marketer Nicola Young has been appointed to fill Cain’s role as marketing services director.
She joins from Molson Coors and Bass brewery, where she has spent the past nine years working in a number of senior roles, including director of research and planning and director of marketing insight and communications.
