TM Apologizes For
TITP Glitch

Ticketmaster has apologized for a computer glitch that left fans worrying that too much of their money had disappeared.

Those wanting tickets for Scotland’s world-famous T In The Park festival can secure them by putting down a £50 deposit, but a technical hitch somehow made it look as if their money had vanished.

The problem came to light when fans who’d made a down payment logged on to pay the balance on the £179 tickets, only to discover their £50 deposits didn’t appear to have registered on the system.

“A small number of T in the Park customers who had chosen to take part in the deposit scheme were incorrectly charged the full balance in addition to their deposit for their tickets,” Ticketmaster said. “Ticketmaster noticed this issue during the banking process and immediately refunded the deposit back into the customers’ accounts.

“We would like to reassure those fans affected that the remaining balance will appear in their accounts automatically within the next few working days.”

Next year’s 20th anniversary TITP is July 12-14. All the lower-priced “early bird” tickets have sold out.
